Leader of Christ Revival Baptist Church, Lapaz-Accra, Prophet Johnson Adu-Boahen has said any employer who pays his employees less than GH₵1000 is wicked and deserves to be robbed.
According to him, robbery is the best punishment for employers who are wicked and don’t show sympathy to their workers.
Prophet Adu-Boahen believes some people steal from their employers because of hardship they have been subjected to.
“A person who is very wicked in church is someone who does not pay his employees at a time or pays his workers Gh350 or less than GHC 1000, that person is very wicked. And he deserves to be robbed. I am not saying if you have been employed under such circumstances you should steal your boss’ money.” He stated.
Adding that the Police officers and Judges should also consider the nature of robbery cases that are put before them before passing judgement because some people who have been robbed are punishing others in different ways, and therefore, stealing is what they deserve.
“What I am saying is that if someone steals something and he or she is arrested, the police, or Judge should sometimes analyse the issues if the person who was robbed deserves that punishment. Sometimes people should lose their valuable materials to serve as a punishment. Because he is also punishing somebody, he lets people sleep with hunger, others their children are not going to school because of the salary they receive.” Prophet Adu-Boahen said.
“So that person is a wicked and wicked person deserves punishment and his punishment is to be robbed.” He added.
The Leader of Christ Revival Baptist Church is not the only person who has raised concerns over the salaries on some employees in Ghana.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s National Daily Minimum Wage (NDMW) has been increased by 10%.
According to the National Tripartite Committee (NTC), the 10% increment of Ghana’s National Daily Minimum Wage (NDMW) for 2025 has brought the new rate to GH₵19.97.
