Obour resigns as Managing Director of Ghana Post Limited

 

Bice ‘Obour’ Osei Kuffuor, has resigned as Managing Director at Ghana Post Limited.

Announcing his resignation on Facebook post, Obour commended former President Nana Akufo-Addo and former Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful as well as the Management and Staff of Ghana Post who helped him to succeed during his tenure as the Managing Director.

“I am deeply grateful to H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the opportunity to serve my country in such a high capacity. As I resign from this position to pursue other interests, I wish to express my utmost appreciation to Hon. Ursula Owusu who was my sector minister, the Board of Directors and the hardworking Management and staff of Ghana Post whose dedication and commitment have been instrumental in the progress we have made.” He wrote.

Among other things, Obour acknowledged that Ghana Post was able to transform to modern and customer-centric postal services.

According to him, Ghana Post made significant strides in digitalization to compete with the world.

“I assumed office as Managing Director of Ghana Post on January 4th , 2022 and it has been an honour and a privilege to serve in this role, steering Ghana Post through a transformative phase aimed at repositioning it as a modern, efficient, and customer-centric postal services and logistics provider.” He added.

“Under my leadership, the company has made significant strides in digitalization, operational efficiency, brand awareness and financial sustainability.” The former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) stated.

The musician turned politician expressed optimism that the good foundation he has laid will help the company achieve greater success.

“I am confident that the solid foundation we have laid will serve as a springboard for even greater success for Ghana Post in the future.” Part of the post read.

“I wish the President H.E John Dramani Mahama and the new administration every success in all their endeavours.”
