Kofi Adams, who has been actively monitoring the team’s preparations, said he is so far impressed with the level of preparedness from the team while expressing his commitment to ensuring the Black Stars are in top shape for the qualifiers.

He further disclosed that the desire to qualify is a shared ambition among all stakeholders, from the playing body, coaching staff, government, and the entire populace.

“I’ve seen the training that they started with a few players who have arrived. Tomorrow we will continue to observe, but I’m impressed so far and we will continue to watch and then analyze.”

“For the qualification, I need it just like any other person. Qualification is like the air that we are breathing. That’s how badly I need it. That’s why we are working, that’s why you’ve seen me here regularly.

“Even on Sunday I was here, Saturday I was here, Friday I was here, so it should tell you that I want everything in order for this game. I need it, just as any other person needs it just as you the media need it, just as Ghanaians out there need it, are equally needed, and I know the players also need it. The coach himself has told me he also wants it, so we are all working towards that.” He said.

The Minister for Sports and Recreation expressed his confidence in the capabilities of both the players and the technical staff, reminding them of their potential to compete at the highest level

“I just told the players that there’s nobody better than them on this African continent. So they should know that they are good and they must get out there to show that goodness on the pitch of play.” He said

He further confirmed that the government, under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, is ensuring that all necessary logistics and financial support are provided.

“The budget for the Black Stars, we will support whatever we have to do. The president is supporting us to be able to take care of the things that must be taken care of.”
