Black Stars Coach, Otto Addo has promised to restore confidence in the players and also bring more positive in the team.
Speaking to 3Sports after their training at Accra Sports Stadium ahead of their game on Friday, the coach said the team is in good position now so the most important thing is to ensure unity among the players and the team as a whole.
“I want to bring back more positivity and also confidence to the players…..This is football, sometimes you are up and sometimes you are down.” He said.
“It was a bit disappointing but like I said if I could turn things around, I would surely do that. We have to look forward and start afresh. It is a new year, it is a different competition and we are in a very good position and we have to really really come together as a team.” He added.
According to him, statistics count in football but for him it doesn’t count too much because each and every match is crucial.
Otto Addo said he is looking forward to ensuring that the Black Stars win their matches and qualify for the World Cup.
“Surely I think it is difficult sometimes to compare circumstances especially if you have a lot of injuries ahead of your games, I know statistics count but for me it doesn’t count too much. Each and every game is important and we always try to do the best we can and I am looking forward to this match and I am really really looking forward to winning.” The Black Stars Coach stated.
He expressed his appreciation to Ghanaians for their support even in difficult times.
“We thank you for your support and we are still calling you for your support, even though things were bad and it is really painful but like I said it is not only us it is about all of us so if we work together we will be successful .”
