Social Media users have reacted to Media Personality, Deloris Frimpong Manso also known as Delay’s post regarding King Paluta’s hit song Makoma snubbed in the 2025 TGMA nominations.
Delay posted that “How @KingPalutaMusic Makoma wasn’t nominated, is why I keep praying without ceasing. Under your very eyes, what belongs to you will be snatched away if you cease praying.”
Reacting to this post, some X users argued that the song was not nominated because it was used by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as their official campaign song prior to the 2024 general elections.
Below are some of the comments
“If they nominate it doesn’t mean he will win. It’s depend on your vote the question is did he have that loyal fanbase to vote for him? even if they like they can nominate all his songs but still he won’t win.”
“Prayers won’t do foko! NPP used his popular song for politics. I said back then that one day it would cost him. When you’re an artist with a broad audience, you keep a low profile—not jumping around on stage with Napo and his kind.”
“As a businessman don’t involve ur self in politics at least not publicly”
“WORD!…. the later, is the greatest advise you can give any Ghanaian. Thank You. Man must keep keep praying as much as we breath.. God Bless You Delay… its never too late for me”
“@GHMusicAwards are u people surfing the internet as well ? Hope u see how agitated Ghanaians are in relation to you failing to nominate Makoma by @KingPalutaMusic”
“the question is did he submit that song or not? Cos I learnt he submitted Aseda instead.”
“If e be sake of Ghana politics then e be King Paluta naa ein fault. As he then one party dey jom, we warn am. But he no listen”
“How’s that prayer ? Someone’s manipulating the system ,you are here saying prayers. The problem with those that have made it ,is they don’t tell their hardwork and systems they put to get there. Ena Grace and those bullshit”
“We are filing for nomination and asking for the reason. They will have no reason not to add it”
