Management of Adom TV, a subsidiary of Multimedia group has apologised to Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II over a reckless comment made by the host of Adom Showtym, Sally Mann.
On Saturday, March 15, Sally Mann made chieftaincy comments about Asantehene and Dormaahene.
According to her, the Asantehene stool is not bigger than the Dormaahene stool as perceived by others. Adding that they are all Paramount chiefs.
“Asantehene and Dormaahene are the same level, they are all Paramount chiefs.” She claimed.
Her comment sparked a lot of reactions on social media as people believed the presenter went beyond her boundaries.
In a statement issued by the Management of Adom TV, they described the comment as inaccurate.
The Management said they deeply regret the statement.
“Admittedly the discussions were not well-informed. We deeply regret the statements made. We offer our sincere apologies and unreservedly retract the same.” The statement said.
Adom TV Management indicated that they respect the Asantehene and the Dormaahene. The Multimedia group promised that such slips will not occur again.
“We wish to emphasise our profound respect for the Asantehene and the Dormaahene.” Part of the statement read.

Statement by Adom TV Management on inaccurate comment made on Showtym programme
Management of Adom TV takes note that, on the Saturday March 15 edition of the entertainment show, Showtym, our presenter, and a panelist at a stage regrettably deviated from the show’s usual content to venture into chieftaincy matters around Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Dormaahene, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II.
Admittedly the discussions were not well-informed.
