Black Stars perform better when NDC is in power – Gospel singer Grace Ashly

Ghanaian gospel musician,  Obaa Yaa Grace Ashly has said things work perfectly for the Black Stars and Ghana football in general.

“Do you know that when the NDC is in power a lot of things go well?” The music star said on Accra 100.5 FMs’ Ayekoo Ayekoo midmorning show hosted by Nana Romeo.

According to her, she gets the opportunity to exhibit her talent to promote the team when the NDC is in government.

She recounted the year 2010 when the current Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah bought a flight ticket for her to go to South Africa and she was made Black Stars ambassador.

“Though certain things interfere, I get the chance to work for them. I remember in 2010, I got support from the NDC to work for the Black Stars. Julius Debrah paid for my flight ticket to South Africa and in 2014 I was made a Black Stars ambassador. Now that the NDC is in power, there are certain people who respect human beings, like Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, he respects everything I do for sports.”  She said.

“Anytime he calls me and talks to me, he has even called me and celebrated me before on his program. We have met in South Africa before, his house and others……..I thank God that he has a position that will help us to work.” Grace Ashly indicated.

She called on every individual to pray and support the NDC government to succeed irrespective of their party differences.

According to the musician, if the government performs better, every individual benefits but if anyone wishes the NDC bad the person also suffers.

“We are all praying for good, to be honest, if everything works well, it affects individuals. So let all pray that the NDC succeeds in their administration.” She added.

She further stated that her doors are open to compose a song for the Black Stars if the authorities call her.
