NPP will be like CPP and struggle to secure 20% to 30% if…. – Hon. Edward Ennin warns

Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for the Obuasi East Constituency, Hon. Edward Ennin has warned the party leadership taking a hostile approach towards party members, who have voiced out their frustration and grievances.

According to him, the party leaders should call those who have publicly expressed their anger and grievances and apologise to them before the NPP divides into two.

“Those people who have positions and they are using them to undermine people are not the concerns of the party leaders to punish them but those who have been affected have been directed to the disciplinary Committee. If the NPP is not careful, the anger in some people if they push them, we will struggle to get about 20% to 30% in the next elections.” He said in an interview on Asempa FM.

“What I am hearing is if they continue like this and not apologise to people they have offended, the party will be divided into two and if it happens that way it would be like CPP. This is the secret I am giving them for free.” He added.

His comment follows recent public outburst by Hon. Sara Adwoa Sarfo.

The former lawmaker believes former NPP MP for Dome Kwabenya, Hon. Sara Adwoa Sarfo has genuine concerns and the leaders need to address them.

“I will go straight to the point because I always tell people that I am not afraid of human beings. Where the NPP stands now, even the general secretary who wrote the letter could not hold his anger in the public, a lot of people have voiced out in public including me so at this point if the party leaders are people who think about the party, there are some people they should call them to address their issues.” He said.

“What happened to Adwoa Sarfo, the party leaders are aware, they can’t say they don’t know about those issues so they should have called her before she made those public comments. The NPP leaders feel so big that if they offend you they want you to come and apologise rather.” Hon. Edward Ennin lamented.
