The Office of the Presidency has assured the nation that Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is in stable condition and receiving the best medical care following a brief health concern.
According to an official statement issued by the Presidency Communications on Sunday, March 30, 2025, the Vice President sought medical attention at the University of Ghana Medical Centre after experiencing a sudden illness on Friday, March 28, 2025.
As a precautionary measure and on expert medical advice, she will continue treatment abroad to ensure a full recovery.
The statement, signed by Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, assured the public of the government’s commitment to ensuring the Vice President receives the best medical attention.
It also expressed well wishes for her speedy recovery.

The Vice President earlier in the week, held an engaging meeting with the core women leadership of the Jospong Group of Companies, who were led by Sophia Kudjorji and Adelaide Siaw-Agyepong. They visited to pledge their support for our administration and commend the Women’s Development Bank initiative—a unique intervention designed to address the financial barriers faced by women entrepreneurs.
Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang expressed sincere gratitude for their visit and applauded their unwavering commitment to women’s economic empowerment. She particularly commended their dedication to capacity building, as evidenced by the training and professional growth opportunities they provide for women within their organization.

The Vice President, Her Excellency Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, received treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre on Saturday due to a sudden illness that occurred after work on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Based on expert medical opinion, she will be seeking further care abroad.
