The founder and CEO of McDan Group of Companies, Dr. Daniel McKorley popularly known as McDan has raised concerns over how people use work hours for prayers.
According to him, it is good for everyone to pray and have time for God but people have taken Christianity to a different level.
He said spending working hours praying does not promote growth of businesses.
Speaking in an interview with Oyerepa FM/TV monitored by Elvisanokyenews.net, Mcdan lamented how people leave their work on Monday’s to spend hours on “Jericho Hour”.
” They have taken Christianity to another level, imagine they are saying Monday, Jericho Hour from 10:am to 1:pm, why? Meanwhile, there are jobs you can do. God knows us but we pay taxes, God is there but we have to make our priorities well.” He lamented.
According to him, religious institutions are one of the greatest problems Ghana is facing and they are not helping.
He believes working on the spirit, the physical needs is also important and so the religious leaders and their followers should re-schedule their time well.
“Prayers are one of the problems Ghanaians are facing, there are certain institutions who are causing problems for Ghana and religious institutions are one.” McDan stated.
Speaking on his Christianity belief, McDan who is a Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) member said he doesn’t do anything contrary to the word of God however, he does everything accordingly.
“I don’t do anything contrary to the word of God but it should be based on how I believe in God…..It is good to pray but we have taken it to another level.” The Ghanaian business mogul indicated.
