Barcelona winger, Raphael Dias Belloli, popularly known as Raphinha, has expressed his satisfaction with the team’s progress this season, praising the squad’s rapid learning curve while stressing the importance of several key players as the club aims for more success.
The Blaugrana are yet to lose a game in 2025 and currently sit atop the La Liga table with 66 points, leading Real Madrid by three. The White Angels occupy second place with 63 points.
In an interview with the media, Raphinha explained that the current crop of players at Barcelona is determined to reach another final and is learning to work as a team faster than expected.
“I’m very happy with the team. We’re a team that learns something new every day, and in my opinion, we’re learning faster than expected. We have this in mind: we want to reach another final to fight for another trophy.” He said.
The 28-year-old Brazilian singled out Pedro González López, popularly known as Pedri as the heartbeat of Barcelona. He revealed that although the Spaniard have contributed to a lot of goals for the team, he is the most important player in the team.
“Pedri doesn’t have many assists, and he doesn’t have a lot of goals, but for me, he’s the most important player on our team. I think Pedri is the heart of the team. Pedri is one of the best players in the world. All balls go through Pedri. If Pedri is not on the pitch, something is missing in our game.” He stated
Raphinha also raved about the talents of Lamine, a younger player who has made an immediate impression.
“Playing with Lamine is absolutely crazy. Lamine’s quality is unquestionable. What he does on the pitch makes it look like he’s been playing professional football for 10 years.”
Regarding Inigo Martinez, the Brazilian stated that the veteran defender was a captain without the armband, saying: “Iñigo is not officially one of the team’s captains, but in my opinion, inside the dressing room, he is one of us, I mean one of the captains. He is a real leader.” He said.
