Binduri: Men riding motorbikes are allowed between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

 

The Ministry of Interior has directed that male riding motorbikes Binduri Township and its environs in the Upper East Region are allowed to ride their motorbikes between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. only.

According to the Ministry, any person who defies the directives and rides motorbikes outside these hours will be arrested and prosecuted.

“Additionally, men riding motorbikes are allowed between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Any person found riding motorbikes outside these hours will be arrested and prosecuted.” The Minister of Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak said in a statement.

The directives form part of review of the Curfew hours imposed on Binduri Township and its environs in the Upper East Region.

He said the review of the Curfew hours allows activities in Binduri Township and its environs from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm.

“The Minister for the Interior on the advice of the Upper East Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument reviewed the Curfew hours imposed on Binduri Township and its environs in the Upper East Region to 8:00 pm to 5:00 am effective Saturday, March 29, 2025.” Part of the statement read.

The Minister urged the people of Binduri Township and its environs to comply with the order to ensure peace and stability in the community.

According to him, a total ban on carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons, men wearing of smock remain intact.

“Government urges Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and people of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them as well as to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.” He said.

“Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the Binduri Township and its environs from carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons, men wearing of smock, and any persons found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.” The statement added.
