The founder and leader of The Apostolic Recover Movement-Yeast, John Wesley Amenuku Agble has heavily descended on Ghanaian business mogul Dr. Daniel McKorley popularly known as McDan for saying churches are the problem of Ghana.
Speaking in an interview with Oyerepa FM/TV, McDan lamented the hours most Ghanaian Christians spend to pray especially during business hours.
Reacting to this, John Wesley opposed the businessman’s claims.
According to the man of God, Ghana’s problem is bad leadership not the church.
“Bad leadership is the problem of Ghana, look at what is happening, how many ECG cables are missing? That one is not a problem of Ghana, the people who are praying with Jericho Hour is the problem. I don’t blame you, the former president came with a nice idea, look at Free SHS, school feeding and others, he had a fantastic idea but his own people, look at how they messed things up, one of them has come out and she is talking.” He clarified.
“Just GHS 1 to feed the students, these politicians living luxurious lives want to take their share, that is not a problem of Ghana. The two hours prayers because the person has a problem and wants God to intervene is the problem of Ghana. Bad leadership is the problem, how many containers are missing? When I saw the video I asked myself, are these people human beings? Cables imported on taxpayers money, that is supposed to develop the country, you carried the cables and melted it, that is not a problem but the prayer they are going to pray is the problem.” He stated.
John Wesley indicated that the church has contributed a lot towards nation building.
He recounted that most of the schools in Ghana were built by the church and other developmental projects so the businessman’s comment is unfortunate.
“I saw it and said look at this man, you want to attack prayer, I don’t blame you, look at the church’s contribution to Ghana……Most of the Secondary schools are not mission schools? We have Universities that are built by the church, that is not adding development to the nation? Orphanages……You want to attack prayer, you want to attack churches, even if you check probably in your education career, you went through a mission school.” He indicated.
