No special security protocol for pastors – Ministry of Interior clarifies

 

The Ministry of Interior has denied granting special privileges for certain individuals, including pastors bypassing security checks.

In a statement issued by the Public  Affairs and Communications Unit of the Ministry said the information circulating on social media are baseless.

“The Ministry of the Interior is compelled to address a disturbing trend of misinformation circulating on social media, suggesting that certain individuals, including pastors, have been granted special privileges to bypass security checks. The Ministry of the Interior wishes to state categorically that these claims are baseless, entirely false and should be disregarded immediately.” The statement said.

The Ministry of the Interior is compelled to address a disturbing trend of misinformation circulating on social media, suggesting that certain individuals, including pastors, have been granted special privileges to bypass security checks.

The Ministry of the Interior wishes to state categorically that these claims are baseless, entirely false and should be disregarded immediately.

It is important to note that the Ministry of  the Interior has not issued any directives or protocols allowing specific groups or individuals to circumvent security checks.

The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to maintaining peace and security across the country, ensuring equal protection for all citizens without discrimination.

We, therefore, caution the public against using the Ministry’s name to perpetrate crime or spread false information, which undermines national security.

The Ministry of the Interior remains steadfast in its duty to safeguard the nation and upholding rigorous security protocols to protect all citizens. We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.

The Ministry is appealing to social media users and the general public to verify information through official channels before sharing to prevent the spread of misinformation.
