The Member of Parliament for Assin North, James Gyakye Quayson, has shared good news about the health status of Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
According to him, they received information from a credible source indicating that Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is in a very good condition.
“This evening, we received information from a credible source indicating that our esteemed vice president is in a very good condition,” The NDC MP posted on Facebook on Thursday, 3rd April, 2025.
He said the new update of the former Minister of Education’s health condition has brought relief to Ghanaians following the news that the Vice President has been flown abroad for medical attention.
James Gyakye Quayson prayed that the Almighty God should give her more strength to return to her duties.
“May God/Allah continue to bless her with good health. We are all relieved by this news and wish her a swift return to her duties, serving the nation with the same dedication and grace she always has,” he added.
The presidency announced that the vice president first received treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre before traveling abroad for another medical care.
“The Vice President, Her Excellency Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, received treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre on Saturday due to a sudden illness that occurred after work on Friday, March 28, 2025. Based on expert medical opinion, she will be seeking further care abroad. We wish the Vice President a speedy recovery” Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications said in a statement.
Ghanaians were down following the news of the Vice President’s health condition leading to the government decision to fly her abroad.
