Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., known by his stage name Shatta Wale has passioately appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to sign at least four (4) Ghanaian artistes to represent the country globally through tourism, arts and culture this year.
“At least this year the president of Ghana for sign 4 Ghanaian artist to rep Ghana across the globe through tourism and arts and culture !!” Shatta Wale posted on X.
According to him, Ghanaian musicians have done their part towards nation building so they need some recognition.
Adding that music create more attention and audience so giving such opportunity to Ghanaian musicians will give them more opportunity to promote the rich culture and beauties in the country.
Shatta Wale who has been vocal on the welfare of the industry added that some of them are at where they are because of music and for that matter Ghanaian musicians should be given such opportunity.
“Ghana musicians deh try too much ,No wonder we don’t war here !!! If no be music like many kpai for here.” He added.
He stressed that sometimes man needs to get some entertainment to renew his strength in order to work hard.

His appeal has touched many as social media users have heaped praises on him.
