Ghanaian business mogul and Group Chair of the McDan Group, Dr. Daniel McKorley widely known as McDan believes Ghanaians musicians, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are currently the most talented artists in Africa.
According to him, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy stage performances and talents are amazing and go beyond Nigerian artists.
Speaking in an interview with NY Dj on BMT Afrika on YouTube, McDan stated that these artists need support. He called on businessmen to support them because according to him, musicians are Ambassadors and music is a big business.
“I can tell you that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are some of the most talented artists in Africa. I believe in my heart they need serious support, as a businessman, they are our ambassadors and I feel we need to invest more in them. There are some young people coming. I am not really into that space but I can say that some good artists and our musicians are Ambassadors and music is a big business.” McDan said.
“Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are my brothers. I am very close to them, look, all these Nigerian boys, none of them is close to their talents. Though they are also talented, I am Ghanaian. I have to speak Ghanaian. On stage and their way of music is amazing but I believe that some of us have to get close to them to support.” He indicated.
The business mogul added that musicians are Ambassadors and music is a big business but he can’t invest in the industry himself but he is ready to support people who would like to enter into that business.
“That brings a lot of money, where there is good money I smile but is not my space, I would like to stay back as a godfather to support people to get into that space. Not really me but to guide people and support them both financially and advice. You can’t be everywhere, you can’t do everything but if you are living in a system you have to give people a chance.” He indicated.
