New GRATIS CEO pledges to lead technological advancement, industrial innovation

The Bono East Regional Secretary of the governing New Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr. Isaac Adebesah has officially assumed office as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Regional Appropriate Technology Industrial Service (GRATIS) Foundation.

His appointment was formally confirmed during a swearing-in ceremony on Monday, April 14, 2025, at the office of the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare.

The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Hon. Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, during the ceremony tasked Dr. Isaac Adebesah to uplift  the standards and performance of GRATIS. She explained that the Ghana Regional Appropriate Technology Industrial Service Foundation, plays a critical role in driving industrial innovation and appropriate technology for the development of the nation hence the need for Dr. Adebesah to give his utmost commitment as the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation.

In his acceptance speech, the Bono East Regional Secretary of the NDC, thanked the Minister and the President for the confidence placed in him. He assured stakeholders of his commitment to revitalizing GRATIS and positioning it as a leader in technological innovation and industrial transformation.

“I am honored by the confidence His Excellency the President and the Honorable Minister have placed in me. This appointment is not just a personal milestone, but a solemn responsibility to lead GRATIS Foundation into a new era of relevance and excellence.

“I fully recognize the strategic importance of this institution in advancing Ghana’s industrial agenda through appropriate technology and innovation. I pledge to uphold the highest standards of leadership, foster a culture of efficiency and innovation, and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to reposition GRATIS as a catalyst for sustainable industrial transformation. Together, we will build a future where technology serves not only industry, but the broader aspirations of our nation.” He said.
