President, Vice and Speaker are absent but no one is digging a pit for $58m – Franklin Cudjoe mocks NPP

President of Imani Africa, Fraklin Cudjoe has reacted to the Minority in Parliament concerns over the absence of the President, Vice president and Speaker of Parliament.

The Minority has threatened to begin impeachment process against president John Dramani Mahama for leaving the country while the Vice president and the Speaker of Parliament are not available.

Reacting to this, Franklin Cudjoe teased the NPP for making demands that do not benefit the country.

According to him, everything is working perfectly in the absence of the President and his Vice as well as the Speaker. He recounted some scandals that rocked the past government when the then president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his vice Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia were present.

He said there has not been any report of spending $58m to build National Cathedral but provided a pit in the absence of the three leaders.

“I didn’t even notice the president, vice-president, and speaker were all from Ghana. All is smooth and sailing. SALL is fine. No one is digging pits for $58m.” He wrote.

Adding that the three leaders are not in the country but the cedi is gaining stronger than before and no one has misused state funds for his or her personal interest

“No one is being shackled and shaved off their finances, and no one is giving lectures on how to lock up the dollar in jail. And certainly no renaming of institutions with meaningless titles of deities. Long may it continue.” Franklin Cudjoe added.

Meanwhile, Veteran journalist Kwesi Pratt has described the demands by the Minority as baseless.

According to him, the modern way of communicating and exercising your duties has changed.

He believes the president can not be in his office in Accra before ruling the country.

He understands that everything is about technology so the way of doing things has changed.
