Techiman South: MP joins Muslims in celebrating Eid al-Adha

The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, on Friday, June 6, 2025, joined hundreds of Muslims at the Asuotwe Basic School grounds in Abourso to mark the celebration of Eid ul-Adha.

The festive gathering brought together people from all walks of life as the Muslim community observed their sacred Eid prayers. Addressing worshippers after the prayers, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah urged them to uphold the values of obedience, humility, faith, unity, mutual respect, and generosity, as he highlighted the significance of the holy festival.

He encouraged the Muslim faithful to continue being a source of light and inspiration in the community, emphasizing the role of peace, forgiveness, and compassion in fostering harmony and development.

“Eid ul-Adha is not just a celebration; it is a reminder of the virtues that strengthen our communities and guide us in nation-building. It reminds us of the values that bind us together—faith, humility, generosity, and peace. Let this holy festival renew in us the spirit of unity and compassion, so we may continue to be a light in our communities.” He stated

The Techiman South Member of Parliament used the occasion to express his heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming support he received during the 2024 Parliamentary elections. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to addressing the basic needs of the people and working collaboratively for the progress of the area.

“I am deeply grateful for the overwhelming support you gave me during the 2024 elections. I remain fully committed to working with you to meet your needs and move our constituency forward together.

Hon. Martin Kwaku Adjei-Mensah Korsah, as a gesture of goodwill and solidarity, presented a cow to the Muslim community to support their celebrations and humbly requested their prayers for continued strength and wisdom in serving the constituency.
