Ghanaian musician Sam Safo, popularly known as Showboy, has heavily descended on Legon students for his exclusive in the line-up of performers for the highly anticipated Pent Hall Week at the University of Ghana in 2025.
Angry Showboy said Legon students’ failure to push for his inclusion in musicians booked to perform at the Pent Hall Week is a big mistake and will not end well with the students in their examination.
In a video that has gone viral, Showboy categorically stated that Legon students will fail their examination and face difficulties on the streets.
According to him, Nigerian musician Mayorkun who has been booked to perform at the Pent Hall Week is not better than him so the students should lobby for him to be booked to show his talent.
“They hate me for nothing. I have composed good songs with melody but you didn’t book me, instead you booked someone from Nigeria and later you asked me to come there for free, it pains me a lot. Legon students are not clever, a lot of them will fail their exams.” Showboy expressed his dissatisfaction.
He indicated that only a few big musicians in Ghana can perform better than him and for that matter Legon students should not take him for granted.
“None of you were able to fight for Showboy that he should come and perform. A lot of you will fail and come and meet me on the streets and experience the challenges. You couldn’t appreciate me that is why you didn’t book me, does the Nigerian perform better than me? Aside from Shatta Wale, Samini and other big artists mention one musician in Ghana who performs better than me.” He stated.
“The young musicians in Ghana, no one can perform better than me but you guys snubbed me.” The ex-convict added.
