The Chief of Teponim Kotinako in the Techiman North District of the Bono East region, Nana Ameyaw Yeboah IV, has called on pastors and Christian leaders to live lives that genuinely reflect the teachings of Christ.
Speaking during the 50th birthday celebration of Rev. Daniel Na-Ile, Head Pastor of Amazing Grace Fountain Gate Chapel at Abrefi Estate, Nana Ameyaw urged ministers not to become mere “signboards” who direct others without following the same path themselves.
Nana Ameyaw Yeboah IV, urged all men of God across the country to lead lives of integrity and holiness, noting that their actions must align with their sermons in order to effectively lead their congregations to salvation.
“I would like to take this opportunity to advise all ministers of God to be truthful to their congregation and to their calling. They should not preach salvation and then live contrary to the message they share. As ministers of God, our actions must align with what we preach, only then can we truly walk in the path of salvation.
He described Rev. Daniel as a man of deep humility and dedication to the gospel. He also commended Rev. Daniel Na-Ile priesthood, describing it as a true calling from God.
“I am very happy for Rev. Daniel Na-Ile and honored to be part of this celebration. I have taken him as a son because he accords me the respect of a father, he confides in me in all his endeavors.
“The truth is, he is caring and makes time for everyone. Rev. Daniel is deeply committed to helping not only members of his church but anyone who comes to him in need.
“When it comes to his priesthood, I can confidently attest that he is faithful to the Word of God. His attitude and behavior toward his congregation and ministry clearly show that he has been ordained by God to serve in His vineyard.” He stated.
The celebration brought together friends, family, church members, and local dignitaries to honor the life and ministry of Rev. Daniel Na-Ile. In an interview with the media, Rev. Daniel expressed profound gratitude to God for His faithfulness over the past five decades.
“I thank God for His mercies over my life. It hasn’t been an easy journey, but through it all, God has been faithful,” Rev. Daniel shared.
According to him, it is expected of Christians to be disciplined and to distance themselves from certain behaviors that could bring the name of God into disrepute. He also urged the youth to nurture every positive relationship and their life and not to take people for granted.
“As children of God, there are certain things we must discipline ourselves not to do for the sake of Christ, for the sake of others, for the sake of our families, and for the sake of the church. That is why some of us have chosen to live in obedience to God’s will, not doing what pleases us, but what pleases Him. I did not let discouragement stop me, and that is why I am still standing today.
“My advice to the youth is this, nurture every positive relationship in your life. Don’t take any good relationship for granted. If someone has supported or lifted you up, appreciate them and stay connected. Surrounding yourself with people who add value to your life will help you go far.
“These days, many young people achieve something small and suddenly think they’ve arrived. They break meaningful relationships, distance themselves from those who helped them, and act like they no longer need guidance. But life is a journey, not a destination. You never fully arrive. To truly succeed, you must nurture positive relationships and stay humble.” He said.
Rev. Daniel Na-Ile encouraged the youth to stay inquisitive, however, he advised them to avoid the use of hard drugs and preserve their body as a temple of God
“Stay curious and keep learning. The world is full of wonders waiting to be discovered. Even Paul, in Romans chapter 12, encourages us to present our bodies as living sacrifices. If you cannot discipline yourself, especially in how you treat your body—you will struggle. Sadly, many young people today appear older than their years because of the lifestyle choices they make and the things they consume.
“If the youth can discipline themselves and stay away from destructive habits like drug use, their future will be bright. These are just a few principles I believe can help prolong their lives and lead to a fulfilling journey.” Rev. Daniel Na-ile said
