Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo has acknowledged the positive impact social media is making in the lives of young people in this generation.
According to him, this generation has recorded more millionaires than any other generation.
Speaking on the Glitch Africa studios podcast Rants, Bants and Confessions (RBC) monitored by Elvisanokyenews.net, Efia Odo stated that a lot of people are making more money in this generation because of the use of social media.
She said those who are smatters and have groomed themselves on the use of social media are making millions all over the world.
“Right now the world has made it easier. If you are smart you can make money, if you are smart you can grow up. Right now we have more millionaires in this generation than any other generation. Why? Because we have platforms like social media, and we are using them well. People are making money through streaming.” She stated.
Adding that social media has transformed the lives of many people and has made others independent to support their families and loved ones.
Efia Odo categorically stated that unlike before where people are forcing themselves for professional jobs, now these professional workers are suffering more than those who are into social media.
Making reference to Africa’s most influential Youtuber, Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon popularly known as Wode Maya, she said the Ghanaians Youtuber is making more money on Youtube.
“We have new and younger people who are streaming on many platforms to make more money to pay their bills, to turn their lives around. They are making money to support their families because of social media. Right now we have people who are working at the banks but they are still suffering, we have doctors and nurses who are still suffering.” She stated.
Efia Odo therefore, advised young people to use their talents to make money.
“People are making millions on content creation, use what you have to get what you want.” She advised.
