Ken Ofori-Atta may recover fully within three months – Wife

 

A clinical psychologist and lecturer at the University of Ghana Medical School, Professor Angela Ofori-Atta, wife of former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, has revealed that her husband is expected to recover fully within three months.

This was after Mr. Ofori-Atta underwent the scheduled robotic assisted radical prostatectomy.

According to her, the former Minister is currently going through the necessary processes so that his wounds don’t get infected and the wounds are expected to be healed within three months.

“We know that he has quite a bit of pain, we know that he has to walk gingerly, and we know that he has to ensure his wounds don’t get infected so these are just some of the things one has to go through when one has a surgery. I think they are expecting that he will be much better for the wounds to be healed, and it will take about three months. We hope the recovery will be completed in this three months period.” Prof. Mrs. Angela Ofori-Atta told Joy News monitored by Elvisanokyenews.net

In a press release, the family of Kenneth Oori-Atta revealed that the former Minister underwent the surgery to deal with prostate cancer and it was done at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota on Friday June 13th.

According to them, the procedure took more than four (4) hours.

“My husband, Ken Ofori-Atta, the former Finance Minister,  has undergone the scheduled robotic assisted radical prostatectomy. This was to deal with prostate cancer and it was done at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota on Friday June 13th. The procedure took 4+ hours.

The doctors are pleased with the procedures and will now place him on a postoperative regime.

Kenneth has always been resilient. But this has been very difficult; with the OSP choosing the period just before his surgery to declare a red alert on him.

Kenneth is bearing up well and focused on doing whatever he can to be restored to good health.
