Concerns have been raised over the fate of Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah widely known as Shatta Wale after news broke in that Ghanaian businessman and socialite, Isaac Kofi Oduro Boateng popularly known as Kofi Boat and other two persons have been arrested for fraud and romance scam.
The man identified as Agony who is the ringleader of the syndicate, Kofi Boat is an associate of dancehall star Shatta Wale this has generated a lot of reactions as to whether the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will investigate the “Taking Over” hit maker.
Social Media users are of the view that Shatta Wale could have allegedly bought his expensive cars and mansions with some of the money he gained from his associate Kofi Boat.
Kofi Boat and the two other persons were arrested on Friday, June 13, 2025. According to reports, they are facing charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering.
Looking at the nature of the case the three Ghanaians have been accused of, some users believe Shatta Wale may face intense scrutiny due to his friendship with Kofi Boat.
Controversial social media personality Albert Nathaniel Hyde, widely known as Bongo Ideas in a post on X stated that the Shatta Movement Boss’s new mansion and recent car purchases could be investigated if a connection is established.
He therefore called on SM fans to pray to their God to avert such investigations which he believes can tarnish the image of the self-acclaimed dancehall king Shatta Wale.
“Following the reported arrest of Kofi Boat by the FBI, it is believed that musician Shatta Wale may face intense scrutiny due to their friendship. The SM Boss’s new mansion and recent car purchases could be investigated if a connection is established. SM fans, Pray!” He posted.
