Outspoken media personality, Bridget Otoo has taken a swipe at the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) over their comments on President John Dramani Mahama’s son, Sharaf Mahama’s recent boxing event.
The GBA claimed that they have received a message from the British Boxing Board of Control, expressing serious concerns about Sharaf’s ‘Battle of the Beasts’ event which was held at Bukom Banku Arena in Accra.
Reacting to GBA claims, Bridget Otoo in a series of twists slammed the Boxing authority for what she described as envy and jealousy.
The presenter asked, where were GBA when Sharaf was pulling the same numbers at the time his father was opposition leader.
“Even if the gate fee is 10 cedis and 10,000 people attend it’s better than charging 1,000 for 100 people. If GBA meant well, they could have invited Sharaf behind the scenes and explain things to him. (*however unnecessary ) From what I know and have read that young man is respectful, humble and open but someone wanted to show their krakye powers.”
“How dare this small boy pull this off” How dare “they” have a successful event without GBA. when his father was opposition leader and he was pulling same numbers were you sleeping? He was always going to pull even mad numbers if his dad won! Duuuhhh!” She lamented.
Bridget Otoo continued “He’s happy to be jumping from station to station lamenting that the British Boxing Authority has written to him Their beef is with the organisation? I didn’t know BBA had no important things to do..”
“Only Ghana boxing authority has seen the so called letter and if it exists, they should have responded with the contempt that letter deserves!! The impudence to interfere!!! But then again, leadership draped in envy, anger and jealousy would not see beyond its nose.” Part of her post read.
