Ghanaian actress and musician Yaa Jackson has opened up on her position on awards in the music industry.
Yaa Jackson who has earlier indicated that her focus is on music more than acting said giving her fans desire is priority not to receive awards in the industry.
“The satisfaction of my audience is what I am focusing on. Everyone needs to be applauded for the good things they are doing but my interest is not about awards. Awards are good but I want to serve the interest of my fans first before any other things. I am poised to make good music in order to be connected with my audience.” She said.
According to the Tear Rubber hitmaker, switching from acting and focusing on mean a lot to her so she don’t want any material things to divert her attention.
“I have a target to achieve in my music career so I don’t want to lose focus. Even my dressing, I don’t care what people say about me but what my cherished fans want is what I am always hunting for.”
Yaa also expressed appreciation to her colleagues in the industry, especially those who have collaborated with her.
“I appreciate the recognition and how some artists put trust in me for collaboration, that is what everybody in the industry wants, we have to support each other and promote each other’s brand. So that one too is cool. Even my new single ‘Moses’ you can see superstars like Shatta Wale supporting my latest song and it is massive. I really like it.”
