U.S President Donald Trump has terminated trade talks with Canada with an immediate effect.
The decision to end all trade discussion came after Canada announced Digital Services Tax on all American Technology Companies such as Meta, Apple, Google, Amazon and Microsoft.
Trump described the Digital Services Tax as a direct and blatant attack on the Americans despite charging U.S farmers 400% Tariffs, for years, on Dairy Products.
“Based on this egregious Tax, we are hereby terminating ALL discussions on Trade with Canada, effective immediately.” Trump announced on his True Social Platform.
“We have just been informed that Canada, a very difficult Country to TRADE with, including the fact that they have charged our Farmers as much as 400% Tariffs, for years, on Dairy Products, has just announced that they are putting a Digital Services Tax on our American Technology Companies, which is a direct and blatant attack on our Country.” Trump announced.
According to Trump, Canada is imitating the European Union which has imposed a similar tax on America and that they will not tolerate such things anymore.
“They are obviously copying the European Union, which has done the same thing, and is currently under discussion with us, also. We will let Canada know the Tariff that they will be paying to do business with the United States of America within the next seven day period. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump stated.
Donald Trump earlier said many countries have taken advantage of the Americans for many years and so he will put an end to that.
He said anything that will burden the U.S economy will not be entertained.
