Give Me My Funeral Donations Now While I’m Alive – Kaakyire Kwame Appiah Appeals

Highlife legend Kaakyire Kwame Appiah has urged his loved ones to start giving him the donations they would have made at his funeral while he’s still alive so he can put them to good use.

The musician questioned why large sums of money are often presented at funerals when those same individuals struggled during their lifetime.

He said, “All that I’m saying is that as humans, we need help while we are alive. So don’t wait for me to die before you come and show off at my funeral.” He added,

The highlife legend stated that family and close friends will even give you excuses or ignore you if you need urgent help but won’t do so if you were to be dead

“As we speak right now, if you call your siblings and friends and tell them you urgently need GHC 1,000, I’m sure there will be a lot of excuses.”

The veteran highlife musician made these comments during an interview on Property FM in Cape Coast.

He continued, “Don’t wait till I’m no more before making huge donations at my funeral grounds. Now that I’m alive, give me what you would have donated. I can use it to accomplish a lot of things now that I’m alive. The bottom line is, if we can help each other in any way, we should do so while we are still alive because we don’t last long on this earth.”

The legendary Kaakyire Kwame Appiah is known for hit songs such as ‘Bronya’ Soroku, Kwadonto, Odo Macho and more
