My Dad Hasn’t Done Anything, I’m Grown Enough – Yaa Jackson

Ghanaian Kumawood actress and musician Yaa Jackson has issued a strong warning to those dragging her father into conversations about her lifestyle. She says she is old enough to make her own decisions.

Yaa Jackson has faced criticism over her choice of clothing, which many have labeled as indecent. Responding to these criticisms, she made it clear in an interview that she has no intention of changing her style to please others.

“I won’t change the way I dress just because people are criticizing me. I love how I dress, and even on a normal day, you won’t see me dressed like this, so why all the fuss?” she said.

In another interview with blogger Zionfelix, monitored by elvisanokyenews.net, the Ehwe Papa hitmaker expressed frustration about how people constantly involve her father, Jackson K. Bentum, in conversations about her lifestyle. She believes it’s completely unnecessary.

According to Yaa Jackson, she is over 18 and fully capable of making her own decisions. She insisted that if anyone should be held accountable for her actions, it should be her and not her father.

“I’m an adult, so the way I dress, which some people call indecent, is my own choice, not my father’s. If anyone has an issue with me, they should come to me directly. Why interview my father and ask if he’s discussed my dressing with me? Please, he is a legend and doesn’t deserve such disrespect,” she said.

Yaa defended her father, describing him as a celebrated movie director who has produced and directed many hit films. She questioned why people don’t focus on his achievements instead of judging him based on her personal choices.

“My father is a legendary movie director. Why aren’t people talking about his accomplishments or the fact that he has raised a son who is now a pastor? Why focus only on the negatives?” she added.
