Widows Connect Africa donates to Techiman SDA JHS B, inspires learners with mentorship and support

The Chief Executive Officer of Widows Connect Africa, Mr. Prince Gyasi Berchi Antwi, has donated educational supplies to learners of Techiman SDA Junior High School B as part of efforts to support learning and broaden the academic horizons of young learners in the municipality.

The donation, which coincided with Mr. Antwi’s birthday celebration, included exercise books, rulers, pencils, drinks, biscuits, and other learning materials. Additionally, cash and other essential items were presented to six brilliant but needy learners to encourage their academic journey.

The initiative went beyond material support, as the learners were also engaged in career talks delivered by professionals including doctors, nurses, journalists, and assembly members. These sessions were aimed at inspiring the learners to take their studies seriously and envision successful futures.

Speaking to reporters after the donation, Mr. Prince Gyasi Antwi explained the motivation behind the gesture. “The aim of this donation is to contribute positively to the learning experience of the learners. The reception we received from the teaching staff and the learners was very good, and we are motivated to do more.”

He also used the opportunity to urge others to support education in their communities, a call he believes, if responded to, will help shape education in Techiman and enhance the development of the municipality.

“I would like to use this opportunity to call on other well-to-do individuals in the community to also contribute positively to education in the municipality, and I believe that by so doing, we will all help to develop Techiman to the heights we desire.” He said.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the school, Madam Diana Kwakye, Assistant Headmistress in charge of Administration, praised the donors for their generosity.

“On behalf of our Headmaster, Mr. Enock Kwadwo Asare, we are most grateful to Widows Connect Africa for their kind gesture. They have brought a lot of smiles to the faces of our learners.

“Their advice and motivation to the learners were also very encouraging, and we are truly appreciative. But as Oliver Twist always asks for more, we pray that today’s donation will not be the last of its kind.” She said.

Assah prosper the schools prefect also assured of the donors of putting the items into good use. “We thank the Most High God for making this day possible and a success, and we are most grateful to Widows Connect Africa for their generosity towards our school.
“We appreciate and ask for God’s blessings upon them. “Their kindness and commitment to supporting education in our municipality is truly commendable. We promise to make good use of the items, and on behalf of all students, I say a big thank you” He stated.
