Ghanaian soldier Solomon Asare Teye-Tsu who refused to bride from illegal miners has been nominated to serve with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon for prioritising integrity over selfish interest.
The Ghana Armed Forces has also promoted him from Private to Lance Corporal.
The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General William Agyapong announced his promotion at a durbar held at Burma Hall, Burma Camp, on Friday, July 11, 2025.
Lance Corporal Solomon Teye-Tsu who has been nominated for deployment with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon is currently stationed at the Department of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces.
He also received a second citation for protecting the image of the Ghana Armed Forces.
According to Chief of the Defence Staff Lieutenant General William Agyapong discipline continues to be the anchor of the military.
