Akosua Manu defends Dr. Bawumia over failed PSG prediction

 

The 2024 NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Adentan, Akosua Manu has jumped to the defense of former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia after his prediction between Chelsea and Paris St-Germain (PSG) clash failed.

Social Media users dragged Dr. Bawumia after he predicted that PSG would win the Club World Cup but failed as Chelsea secured 3-0 win over European champions Paris Saint-Germain in New Jersey.

“I expect high quality football, it looks like a win for PSG” The former NPP flagbearer stated.

But Akosua Manu in a quick defense said dragging Dr. Bawumia is not necessary at this time.

According to her, there is the need to separate football; both the NPP and the NDC can support one team from politics.

She indicated that sometimes people should put politics aside and treat issues based on merit.

“Football is about win or loss, he predicted a win for PSG but did not come to pass, why are people dragging him on social media? She said.

“I think sometimes we need to give ourselves a break, football and politics are not the same. In football both sides are supporting one game so sometimes we should have fun, politics is too emotional and other things. So let us focus on the game.” Akosua Manu added.
