Self-proclaimed Igbo King, Eze Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu has finally broken his silence on the tension surrounding his alleged plan to build Igbo Kingdom in Ghana.
According to him, the information and interpretation of his old video is false.
Speaking in a press conference on Friday, July 18, 2025 Eze Chukwudi indicated that some bloggers have misinterpreted his video which was recorded in 2013 for their personal gains.
Adding that they just want to tarnish his image and cause confusion between Ghana and Nigeria.
“The video you have seen on the internet in which I said I will build Igbo village was in 2013. Now, we have no piece of land acquired in Ningo-Prampram, there is nowhere in Ghana where I can buy land for Igbo village. But it was so bad that some of our bloggers misinterpreted the vision and they said we want to build Igbo Kingdom in Ghana, which is totally false.” He said.
“If you go back and watch the video you will see what I said and the interpretation of a village is different from a Kingdom. We have no plan to build any Kingdom in Ghana, you can not build a Kingdom in someone’s Kingdom, it is impossible. But some mischievous, some of our sons and daughters who want more views to make money have decided to tarnish my image.”
“The same people are trying to create misunderstanding between the two nations.”
