Akuapem South MP’s educational fund to support needy but brilliant SHS freshers

The Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Hon. Lawrencia Adwoa Dziwornu, has announced the rollout of financial assistance under the Adwoa Education Fund to support newly admitted Senior High School (SHS) students within the constituency.

The initiative, designed to ease the financial burden on brilliant but needy students, targets Junior High School (JHS) graduates who have gained admission into SHS but are unable to meet the cost of enrollment and other related expenses.

In a statement from the MP’s office, eligible applicants have been invited to report to her constituency office today, Friday, October 17, 2025, to apply for the educational assistance.

Applicants are required to present a copy of their SHS admission letter, their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results slip, and details of a guarantor, preferably a parent, guardian, or a responsible community member with a valid national ID.

Hon. Dziwornu stated that education remains a key pillar of her development agenda for Akuapem South, adding that the fund seeks to ensure that no child is left behind due to financial hardship.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to pursue education and realize their potential. The Adwoa Education Fund is my way of ensuring that financial constraints do not stop our brilliant students from achieving their dreams.” She stated.

She encouraged all qualified students within the constituency to take advantage of the opportunity, assuring that the initiative will be sustained to support more learners in subsequent years.

“We are building a constituency where education becomes the bridge to opportunity, empowerment, and progress.” Hon. Dziwornu added.

The Adwoa Education Fund forms part of the MP’s broader commitment to improving access to quality education, reducing school dropouts, and promoting human capital development in Akuapem South.
