Ghanaian Afrobeats artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has revealed that former Ghanaian footballer Asamoah Gyan has blocked him on social media, and he has no idea why.
In a live video, Stonebwoy expressed disappointment, explaining that there are certain individuals in the industry whom he holds in high esteem and considers as big brothers. He specifically mentioned former Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor and former Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan.
The Go Higher hitmaker disclosed that he rarely hears from Gyan lately, unlike how close they used to be.
“Asamoah Gyan has been a big brother and always around, but I have hardly heard from him lately. The last time I checked, I saw that he had blocked me, but I don’t know why,” he said.
Stonebwoy further noted that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. He recalled that during a previous incident when Gyan blocked him, they investigated the matter and realized he had done nothing wrong.
“This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. The other time he blocked me, we checked and realized it was nothing. In fact, we checked and he said I had done nothing,” he explained.
Despite the situation, Stonebwoy emphasized that he holds no grudges and understands that people go through personal issues, which might affect their relationships with others.
“Everybody is going through different things in life, so you can’t take things personally. Once you know your heart is pure and your mindset is genuine, that’s it. When you realize there’s no room for conversation, you can’t really do much,” he said.
The revelation has sparked mixed reactions from netizens, with many sharing diverse opinions about the matter.
