Atalanta signs Kamaldeen Sulemana from Southampton in €21.5m deal

Italian Serie A side Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio has completed the signing of 23-year-old Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana from English club Southampton.

The Italian club has been in extensive talks with the English club in the past week over the possibility of securing the services of the talented winger.

The talented forward is set to undergo a routine medical examination in the coming days before putting pen to paper on a long-term deal that will keep him in Bergamo until June 2029, with an additional option to extend.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the move on social media, describing it as a done deal. According to Fabrizio Romano, Atalanta will pay €17.5 million in installments, with €4 million in potential add-ons and team performance-related bonuses. Southampton will also retain 15% of any future sale.

The former Stade Rennais and Nordsjælland star will be looking to reignite his career in Italy after a challenging season in the English Championship.
