The Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Smile Gavua Dzisi, has confirmed that payment processes have begun for over 6,000 teaching and non-teaching staff who have not yet received their salaries.
She explained that this follows Cabinet approval secured by the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, for the extension of the financial clearance granted in 2024.
The approval paves the way for the mechanization and subsequent payment of all affected staff.

Haruna Iddrisu, and his team, has received the green light to immediately complete the process of mechanization and payment of all recruited staff who are yet to be paid.”
