Legendary Ghanaian music producer Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, has opened up about how profitable the music industry has been for him.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, Appietus explained that working as a music producer has allowed him to start several businesses, giving him multiple streams of income.
“Music production has really helped me because I’ve been able to open some businesses aside from that, and I’m making extra cash.”
He further noted that producing music has brought him not only fame but also financial stability.
“I’ve made a lot of money from this. I’m always thankful to God, no matter what. It was this same job that gave me the name and the opportunity to own numerous businesses, and for that I’m grateful.”
Appietus also revealed that he has recently set up a new music studio in the UK. According to him, the move is part of his goal to take Ghanaian music global.
“Oh yeah, I’ve opened a new studio in the UK. You already know Appietus is a household name in Ghana, so now it’s time for me to raise the flag high and do more of what I’ve done in Ghana. I want our unique sounds to go worldwide, and Appietus will make that happen.”
