“Coca-Cola has agreed to use cane sugar for production” – Trump announces

US president Donald Trump has announced Coca-Cola has agreed to use cane sugar to produce their product in the United States instead of  corn syrup.

Coca-Cola uses corn syrup to produce for the US market which experts say has health implications.

Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) initiative report in May said a panel convened by Trump and tasked with identifying the root causes of chronic disease, said substantial consumption of high-fructose corn syrup could play a role in childhood obesity and other conditions.

In a post on Trump’s Truth Social said Coca-Cola authorities have agreed to use cane sugar for their production.

Trump expressed his appreciation to the authorities for their understanding.

“I have been speaking to Coca-Cola about using REAL Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States, and they have agreed to do so. I’d like to thank all of those in authority at Coca-Cola. This will be a very good move by them — You’ll see. It’s just better!” Trump said.
