The Tema High Court has ordered the founder and Leader of Heaven Way Chapel, Nana Agradaa to pay GH₵ 6,000 in costs to Ghanaian Gospel singer Empress Gifty in their defamatory battle.
The singer sued the former fetish priestess for defamation after Nana Agradaa alleged that Empress Gifty is having extra marital affairs to promote her selfish interest.
According to her, Empress wants to enrich herself and needs more money for her lavish lifestyle, because she is having affairs with others outside her marriage.
In their first court appearance, Nana Agradaa’s lawyer filed a motion and asked the court to dismiss the case but the court postponed the case.
During today’s sitting on Thursday, June 26, 2025, the court said that Nana Agradaa and her Lawyer’s application lacked merit and so their motion to dismiss the case was thrown out.
The court subsequently awarded a defamation suit against the self-acclaimed preacher.
Initially, Empress Gifty was demanding GH₵ 20 million from Nana Agradaa in her defamation suit.
She indicated that the allegations leveled against her have tarnished her image as a celebrity and a married woman.
The two women have been in the news and social media recently after the allegations were leveled against the Gospel singer.
In Nana Agradaa’s recent social media video, the preacher threatened to destroy the Empress Gifty’s career and brand if she continued to challenge her.
According to Agradaa, she gets extra power from God to discipline people if they go beyond their boundaries.
She claimed a lot of prominent men of God are suffering after they engaged in such a battle with her.
