Hon. Joana Gyan-Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central in the Western Region, has been honored as the Outstanding Female Miner at the 25th Ghana Women Awards. The ceremony celebrated womanhood as a vital force for national development.
Hon. Joana Gyan-Cudjoe, who is also the Founder and CEO of Golden Empire Legacy Holdings Ltd., has redefined the role of women in Ghana’s mining industry.
Under her leadership, the company has emerged as the largest licensed gold exporter in the country, managing over 600 mining concessions valued at an estimated US$120 billion. Her work has significantly strengthened Ghana’s position as a rising global player in gold production.
The award citation praised Hon. Gyan-Cudjoe’s journey from humble beginnings to international recognition as a visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist.
