Founder and General Overseer of Believers Worship Center, Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei Duah, has revealed why Ghanaian boxer Joseph Sackey, who wore shorts bearing the image of him (Adom Kyei-Duah) and lost his bout against a Pakistani boxer, Khan during Boxing event organized President John Dramani Mahama’s son Sharaf Mahama.
The leader of Philadelphia Movement extended an invitation to Joseph Sackey after the boxer received backlash on social media following his defeat despite using his images and drinking his “Sobolo” as well as other materials ahead of the bout.
Speaking on Sunday June 22 when the boxer appeared at his church, Adom Kyei-Duah stated that he doesn’t know him because he is not his church member.
According to him, the boxer just loves him that is why he used his materials.
The Prophet added Joseph Sackey’s inability to speak to the Asante Twi clearly indicates that he is not a member of the Philadelphia Movement and does not fellowship with any of their branches.
“Today, they have told me the story of this man, he is not a member of Philadelphia but he just loves me, Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah. That is why he has used my images and other materials on himself. He does not fellowship in any of our branches and also he doesn’t speak the Asante Twi properly.” The Prophet stated.
He categorically stated that he knows those who know him.
Adding that he has developed some love for the boxer but he has first shown love to him.
“Look at me, Adom, the way I speak Twi even the indigenous Twi speakers struggle to understand me. So for him he just follows me with his eye and heart, it is love and for that matter I have also loved him. But for Philadelphia, if you know me, I know you.” He added.
