Here are the 8 pillars of Mahama’s 24-Hour Economy

 

President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 launched the 24-hour policy.

The government believes the policy will create employment and change the lives of Ghanaian people.

According to the president, the 24-hour economy Secretariats did a comprehensive research and consultation to bring good results to the citizens.

He said experts, investors, farmers and traders were engaged in the process.

“The 24-hour economy Secretariats have taken a thorough national engagement process, they listened to entrepreneurs both large and small, both formal and informal, they listened to farmers, traders, and organized labourers. They consulted diaspora groups, investors and infrastructural experts. The Secretariats also consulted scientists, and other experts.” Mr. Mahama said.

Speaking at the Launching of the NDC’s flagship policy, President Mahama outlined 8 structures the government believes hold the policy to achieve its purpose.

“The policy comprises the following structures.”

Grow 24 – “Grow 24 is about boosting agriculture productivity, agro-processing and food security.”

Make 24 – “This is about revitalizing our manufacturing and industrialization.”

Build 24, This is also about accelerating infrastructure, construturing, housing and public works.

Show 24, This concentrate on harnessing Ghana’s rich creative cultural and tourism assets

Connect 24, This pillar also centered on fixing Ghana’s logistics chains, transport warehousing, port energy and digital infrastructure.

Fund 24 – Under this pillar, the government will unlock innovative financing through credit guarantee schemes, blended finance and venture capital

Aspire 24 – s about building the skills of our people, their values, ethics and digital capacity for competitiveness

G0 24 – This is about mobilizing all sectors, religious, security, academic and civic for national productivity and pride.

The 24-hour economy is one of the major policies the National Democratic Congress (NDC) championed.

The policy was the major campaign message of the party.
