Hills Top Fast Food CEO remanded for allegedly defile 16-year-old student

The District Court at the Police Headquarters has remanded Daniel Osei, Chief Executive Officer of Hills Top Fast Food, into police custody for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old student in East Legon.

The case has been adjourned to Wednesday, July 31, 2025, for the next hearing.

The incident reportedly occurred on Monday, April 14, 2025.

According to police sources, Mr. Osei, a tenant in the same compound as the victim’s mother, allegedly lured the student to his residence during school hours.

The victim, whose school shares a wall with the suspect’s residence, stated that she received a message from him asking her to come over to “see something.”

Trusting him as a familiar figure, someone she considered like an uncle, the student agreed.

However, upon entering his room, the suspect allegedly attacked and forcibly defiled her.

“I tried to resist and struggled, but he overpowered me,” the victim is reported to have told investigators.

The case was initially reported to the East Legon Police, who arrested the suspect and released him on bail.

Fearing the case might not be treated with the seriousness it deserved, the victim’s mother petitioned the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) at the Police Headquarters.

The case was subsequently reassigned to a new investigator.

On Thursday, July 17, Mr. Osei appeared before the District Court at the Police Headquarters, presided over by Her Worship Awurama Damoah Dakwah.

The court ordered that he be remanded into police custody to allow for further investigation.
