Mahama appoints Kojo Bonsu, 14 others as new Ambassadors and High Commissioners

 

President John Dramani Mahama has nominated 15 individuals to represent Ghana in other countries as Ambassadors/High Commissioners and Consul-General.

The 15 nominees are to champion Ghana’s agenda in the various countries they have been assigned to represent and also ensure the welfare of Ghanaian citizens in their countries as well as strengthening the bilateral relationship between Ghana and those countries.

In a statement signed by Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President said the nominations follow the consultation with the Council of State.

“I write to inform you that the President of the Republic, following the consultation with the Council of State has nominated the following individuals as Ambassadors/High Commissioners and Consul-General designates” The statement said.

The statement urged the Home Affairs Ministry and other stakeholders to put in place the needed measures to facilitate the appointment process of the nominees.

“Kindly take the necessary steps to facilitate the appointment process for the nominees listed above. Please accept the President’s highest regard.” Part of the statement read.

Grace El Mahmoud Marabe – United Arab Emirates – Dubai
Prof. Ohene Adjei – Federal Republic of Germany
Abdul Nasiru-Deen – Republic of Turkey
Theresah Adjei-Mensah – Czech Republic
Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso – India
Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, Ph.D. – Canada
Dr. Margaret Miewien Chebere – Denmark
