My life changed after a friend took me to the Volta Region – Kuami Eugene reveals

 

Ghanaian High-life and Afrobeat singer, Eugene Kwame Marfo, who goes by the stage name Kuami Eugene has revealed how his surprise visit to the Volta Region changed his life in the Music industry.

According to him, when he started his music there was no support and life was not easy but his friend took him to the Volta Region and when they returned from their journey, opportunities started to come.

“Things started changing in my life as soon as I came back from the Volta Region. The tradition started like this, I started my ministry from the church, the church taught me everything I have. So what happened was after senior high school I was still doing the music but the support was not there like now. I was playing jams for the school and others but the push was not there.” He said in an interview monitored by Elvisanokyenews.net

The “Angela” hitmaker did not disclose the purpose of their visit to the Volta Region but said immediately they came back from Volta Region he joined the MTN maker and Lynx entertainment also signed him.

“The push started after the MTN maker, even sometimes some church elders come and ask me to go and sing at their children’s wedding ceremony and give me GHC20 for trotro until sometime ago I had a friend who took me to the Volta Region. So we were in the Volta Region for sometime and as soon as I came back from the Volta Region, all of a sudden everything just changed like that.” Kuami Eugene stated.

“Immediately I came back from the Volta Region I joined the MTN maker, I was paid and the second thing I was signed by Lynx entertainment from there I took Song Artiste of the Year from there I took New Artiste of the Year and Artiste of the Year.” He stressed.
