NAM 1 dismisses comparisons between his ongoing legal issues and Agradaa

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of defunct Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM1 has shot down comparisons between his ongoing legal issues and Evangelist Nana Agradaa who has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.

Reports circulated on social media after Nana Agradaa was convicted suggested that NAM1 should face similar consequences because his Menzgold issue is also a fraud.

Reacting to these reports, NAM 1 said the public should disregard such comparison.

According to him, his main focus is to follow the constitution and defend the case he is facing.

He said no one should give room to that comparison.

“Let us not give praise to that, we have a case to defend, we are doing absolutely just that. This is the beauty of constitutionalism, the very law that breaks me here compels me to condemn each and every time. The same law gives me the right to appeal, pass and win. I have to.” NAM 1 said this in an interview with the media after the Supreme Court adjourned his trial.

NAM1 who is facing criminal trial has filed an application seeking to halt his trial.

Commenting on the Supreme Court decision to adjourn his criminal trial, NAM1 stated that they are going to prepare themselves to hear what the court will say.

“The determination that we had at the appeal court, we wanted the Supreme Court to have a remedy but the application has been adjourned. So we will just go and come back on next business to hear what differences in the court are.” He said.

NAM1 has been tagged as a criminal following the locked up funds of Ghanaians who invested in his Menzgold business..
