Africa’s Dancehall King, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale, has responded to critics who claim he is influencing rapper Medikal negatively.
Shatta Wale and Medikal have recently built a strong bond, making them appear almost inseparable.
Many entertainment pundits recently blamed Shatta Wale after Medikal touched a lady’s butt on stage, claiming Shatta Wale was the one influencing the rapper to behave in such a manner, as he wasn’t like that initially.
After several weeks, Shatta Wale has now come out to address these criticisms.
In a post by the On God hitmaker, he confirmed the claim but clarified that his influence is positive, not negative as people think.
He explained that he is indeed influencing Medikal—but by giving him hit songs and helping him make money, even calling those making such claims “hungry gatekeepers.”
He wrote:
“Hungry Gatekeepers: Oh Shatta Wale will spoil @Medikalbyk
Me: Yes, I will spoil him with hit songs and he will cash out plenty.”
Just a few weeks ago, Medikal featured Shatta Wale and Beetrap KOTM on a track titled Shoulder, which is currently one of the biggest songs in the country.
