Salaga-South MP Supports Medical Student with Laptop, Cash Donation

The Member of Parliament for Salaga-South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah, has extended support to a final-year medical student of the University for Development Studies (UDS), Miss Nimatu.

On Friday, 15th August 2025, the MP’s aide, Mr. Kwabena Andrew, presented a brand-new laptop and an undisclosed amount of cash to assist the young scholar in her academic work and upkeep.

Hon. Zuwera, who had earlier facilitated a GETFund scholarship for Miss Nimatu to pursue medicine, explained that the gesture formed part of her commitment to investing in the education of young people in her constituency.

Miss Nimatu expressed profound gratitude to the MP for her continuous support, describing the intervention as both timely and motivating as she prepares to complete her studies.

Education has been a central pillar of Hon. Zuwera’s developmental agenda for the Salaga-South constituency, with several students benefiting from scholarships and other forms of assistance.

Beyond Miss Nimatu, the MP has also facilitated GETFund scholarships for 19 other tertiary students from her constituency, pursuing various courses such as B.Sc. Physician Assistant, B.Sc. Geological Engineering, M.Phil. Measurement and Evaluation, Computer Science, Nursing, Political Science, and Mathematics, among others.
